This mantra praises Hanuman as the messenger of the Lord Rama, who is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Hanuman can travel swiftly and is very intelligent. He is also described as the chief of the monkey army and the son of Vayu (Wind God).

Meaning of Mantra :

Let me pray to the one who is swift as thought (manojavam-), the one who is more powerful than the wind (marut.tulya.vegam-), the one who has conquered his senses (jitendriyam-), the one who is supreme among all intelligent beings, the son of the wind-god (vaataatmajam-), the commander of the army of forest creatures (vaanar.yooth.mukhyam-), Let me find refuge in Lord Rama’s Messenger, the incomparable Lord Hanuman. Please accept me and my prayers at your feet.

Hanuman Mantra recitation also helps small children to get rid of scary & fearful thoughts. Hanuman Ji is the greatest devotee of Lord Rama and plays a vital role in the Hindu epic Ramayana. He is the son of Vayu or Marut (The Wind God) and Anjani. Anjaneya, Anjani Putra, Hanumat, Bajarangabali, Hanuman, Mahaveer , Maruti, Pavanputra are some of His names used by devotees.

Hanuman Chalisa is a Hindu devotional stotra addressed to Hanuman. It is traditionally believed to have been authored by 16th-century poet Tulsidas in the Awadhi language,and is his best known text apart from the Ramacharitamanasa.  

The word "chālīsā" is derived from "chālīs", which means the number forty in Hindi, as the Hanuman Chalisa has 40 verses (excluding the couplets at the beginning and at the end), Hanuman Chalisa is a devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is recited to get energy and concentration. 

Hanuman is the source of immense energy and focus. Reciting Hanuman Chalisa channelizes energy and gives a total focus of mind and body.
